Second Comber Presbyterian church, Comber (1)

The name of the architect has not been officially recorded but is thought to be James Patterson who is thought to have designed the nearby Killinchy Non-subscribing Presbyterian church Image (seven years later) and there are similarities. The Old Distillery sign, Comber
Sign, in Killinchy Street, at houses Image built on part of the site of the Comber Distillery. The brand “Comber” seems to have been produced from 1828 to 1956 although sources suggest that there was a distillery in the town as far back as 1761.

Comber's Second Presbyterian Church
This church, now the largest in the Down Presbytery, was formed in 1838. The church building itself dates from 1840. In recent years major additions to the site have included a parish hall, office space and a coffee bar. These can be seen to the left of the original building,
