Looking along Bingham Street in Bangor early on a very foggy morning. You may just be able to make out the huge spire of St Comgall's church Image - only some 50m away it normally dominates this view but is almost entirely hidden by the dense fog.

The more interesting part of Bingham Street in Bangor (see also Image for a less pleasant view). Still largely residential despite the close proximity to the town centre. Compare this bright scene with an almost identical viewpoint seen in Image

The former Borough Gymnasium Image on Hamilton Road in Bangor was demolished in early 2015 and is being redeveloped. This would have been a fairly quiet affair but for a well publicised campaign against the Clandeboye and District Ulster Special Constabulary Pistol and Rifle Club which was based in the basement of the hall and the £442,000 of public money which was allocated to the redevelopment of the club facilities (see http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/community-telegraph/north-down/north-down-gun-club-fights-back-after-opponent-launches-petition-29586683.html ).
