Manhole cover located in the grounds of the now disused Sea Scouts hall located between Hamilton Road and Springfield Avenue in Bangor. The cover is marked 'W.D. Henderson and Sons Ltd. Belfast' and is similar to another seen at Image Date of manufacture unknown, but the hall was built in 1952 - see Image See also Image for a detailed look at the inscription.

Corner protector, Alfred Street, Bangor
Cast iron corner protector on a house at the far end of Alfred Street in Bangor (see Image). I think that this was placed here to protect the house from damage from passing cartwheels. Any other details or information would be welcomed.
Cast in Belfast, it bears the mark of the Millfield Foundry.

Terraces on Hamilton Road, running from the corners of May Avenue to Park Drive.
In the foreground is the terrace running from numbers 12-28 which was constructed in c1901 to a design by Ernest L. Woods and originally known as Epworth Terrace; adjoining is the terrace running from 30-42, constructed in c1910 as Dudley Terrace. Originally houses, virtually every one has now been converted into offices
