Bangor Aurora Leisure Complex
Bangor Aurora (see Image) on a foggy Christmas morning - one of the only days in the year when the facility is completely closed. Christmas Day 2018 in Bangor was very foggy in the morning; this cleared to leave an overcast and rather grey day which was also unseasonably mild.

Bangor Aurora Leisure Complex
Bangor Aurora Leisure Complex on Valentine Road, Bangor. The centre opened in mid 2013, nearly four years after construction began (it was originally intended to open prior to the London 2012 Olympics). A pretty huge building, this image was taken on top of a nearby hill (which I think was created from spoil removed during construction). I don't have a suitable comparison image but these fine buildings Image used to stand close to the trees in the centre of the image but were demolished during construction. The link at http://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/10676 shows pictures of the old Bangor Castle Leisure Centre which closed as soon as this facility opened.

The local council have these in storage near Valentine Playing Fields. I wonder if they'll end up like those seen in Image ??
