In contrast to Castle Park (1) in J5081 this part resembles private parkland and it is not difficult to image aristocratic perambulations at a safe distance from the lower orders. It can be a useful place for fungi hunting during the autumn.

Grass and buttercup, Bangor
Grass and buttercup growing in Castle Park, Bangor. The red object is a warning sign marked F.M.H. above a manhole cover (I think a fairly recent addition linked to the work on upgrading sewerage in Bangor). I think F.M.H. stands for Foul Man Hole but will be happily corrected.
