Central Avenue, Bangor
There was a brief snowfall in Bangor on 13th February 2021 - being very cold already it rapidly accumulated on the ground, but the temperature rose quickly and all had melted again by the evening. This is Central Avenue in the town.

The former NIIB offices in Central Avenue, Bangor (seen in Image), redeveloped as "Central Street Apartments". There is little change to the frontage of the building, but some rather nice work with reclaimed bricks has been created by the pavement. See Image, Image and Image

The former NIIB premises are currently the subject of the following application (2 February 2016) for planning permission “LA06/2016/0092/F Change of use from office/financial to retail and residential (24 no. apartments) and associated car parking. Works to include demolition of the fuel store at the rear, minor elevation amendments and site works. Lands incorporating No's 26-32 Central Avenue and 2-8 Central Street Bangor BT20 3AF” – under consideration at the time of submission.

McGladery brick, Bangor
An old brick made by S. McGladery and Sons of Belfast, used in a feature wall in front of Central Street Apartments, Bangor Image I believe the McGladery brickworks were located on the Springfield Road in Belfast; the 1890 Belfast Street Directory also lists a Samuel McGladery, brick manufacturer, at 1 Shankill Road in the city.
