"Freshly Chopped" and "Hell Cat Maggies", Belfast (February 2019)
“Freshly Chopped” restaurant - “At Freshly Chopped we’re hungry to bring you fresh, clean and nutritious food, served quickly. Our mission is to offer you simple and delicious ways to easily add healthy food choices into your busy day.
Our quality and fresh produce is prepared from your personal choice of ingredients – with the Create Your Own menu – or from our full menu at our deli counter. Your selected salad is then sent to our open-theatre chopping stations to be freshly chopped and dressed by our super-star Choppers. Fresh healthy food, created in minimum time.
Freshly Chopped was born in Ireland through pure love of health and fitness, with a true lack of nutritious food available to people wanting to live a healthy lifestyle on the go. The name Chopped is derived from our unique way of preparing your food using our super-hero mezzaluna knife to provide fast healthy food to you over the counter”.
“Hell Cat Maggies” (upstairs) - “Traditional Irish style bar with natural woods, old style finishes & eclectic bric-a-brac combined with artwork that depicts and celebrates Hell Cat Maggie”.
Formerly “The Apartment”, 2 Donegall Square West.
I have no connection with the businesses and cannot enter into correspondence.

The "Spinning Wheel", Belfast (March 2016)
A very long-established locally-owned business, on the ground floor of the Scottish Provident, at 9 Donegall Square West. It seems set to move to new premises and be replaced by a national multiple. There is (21 January 2016) the following application for planning permission “LA04/2016/0275/F Change of use of ground floor and first floor from retail unit to a unit for the sale of food and drink along with associated ancillary uses, minor alterations to rear elevation to include replacement of air conditioning condensers, 1 no. air conditioning condenser, 1 no. new freezer room condenser and 2 no. extract grilles. 9 Donegall Square West Belfast BT1 6JH”.
This photograph appears as a matter of record only. I have no connection with the business or the successor.
Image shows the premises after conversion to a “Greggs”.

"Bendybus", Belfast
There is a small fleet of “bendy buses” (articulated Mercedes) in the suburban fleet in Belfast. This one is about to depart Donegall Square West on service 1E to Roughfort via Glengormley (41 minutes). This used to be the longest run operated by Citybus but, with the amalgamation of some former Ulsterbus services under the “Metro” branding, it no longer holds that title.
