Belfast College of Technology
Steam driven ventilating fan that was used in the winter months. There are two coupled together and operating a plenum system with a huge filter and heating chamber. Current status is unknown but it was operational (but not running) when seen in 2005.

Belfast College of Technology
Steam engine driving the ventilating plant. Horizontal single cylinder engine built in 1905 by Musgrave Engineering of Belfast. The slide valve cylinder is 13" bore by 12" stroke. The room is left open so that it can be observed by passers-by.
