Wellington Street runs from Donegall Square West, across Upper Queen Street to Fisherwick Place/College Square East. The part to Upper Queen Street has several shops and the staff entrance to the Northern Bank headquarters. This section (looking to Fisherwick Place/College Square East) has none.

Building repairs, Belfast (1981)
On 22 August 1981 a bomb exploded outside offices in nearby Upper Queen Street, causing blast damage to this building in College Square East. Replacement of the glazing was underway. Blast damage made the scene look worse – relatively few buildings (in central Belfast anyway) were demolished because of structural damage.
