"New Look", Fountain House, Belfast - January 2019(2)
Following a corporate insolvency, announced in early 2018, the New Look shop at Fountain House, Donegall Place is due to close on 15 January 2019. This is the Fountain Lane side. Media reports suggest that Primark will be the new occupant following the Bank Buildings fire.

Nos 48-50 Fountain Street, Belfast (detail)
Modernised many times at ground floor level (now occupied by “Past Times”) – the building dates from 1888 and was built as a spirit warehouse. The architect was one Godfrey Ferguson who, it seems, was influenced by the Queen Anne style.
