No 183 Victoria Street, Belfast (February 2014)
See Image (April 2010). Almost four years later these buildings, at the corner of May Street (left) and Victoria Street remain vacant and offered for sale. The agents’ brochure includes this description “The subject property extending over 3 storeys, has recently been refurbished to a high standard and provides an excellent opportunity for office and business occupiers to secure a prominent position in the city centre”. This photograph appears as a matter of record only. I have no connection with any of the parties involved in the sale. Continue to Image

Nos 179-183 Victoria Street, Belfast (October 2017)
Two buildings, close to the corner of May Street, offered for sale but which have been slower to move than might be expected. No 183 (left) Image still has a “for sale” sign. Nos 179/181 have an “agreed” patch. This area, very close to the Law Courts, used to be popular with small solicitors’ practices. Many have since merged, some becoming part of national/international “law firms”. They now occupy much bigger “Grade A” offices.

Site, Victoria Street, Belfast (1)
See Image In the light of its near neighbour it is possible to overlook this small piece of vacant land at the southern end of Victoria Street. It is being advertised as a site for a small office building. Given its proximity to the Law Courts it might be an ideal location for a solicitor’s practice. Continue to Image (September 2008).

Former social club, Belfast
The former Belfast City Transport (BCT) social club at 66-68 May Street is now vacant and offered for sale/to let. May Street was re-numbered after WW1 making it difficult to make a comparison with the past but, 100 years ago, this part of May Street seems to have been both commercial and residential. This photograph appears as a matter of record only. I have no connection with any of the parties involved in the sale/letting. Continue to Image (October 2012).
