Former Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast (1)
A general view of the Crumlin Road frontage. Having made professional visits (to ODC’s) I would have to say that it was not a pleasant place inside. In particular there seemed to be a complete absence of natural light and (I suppose, inevitably) the claustrophobic feeling of total confinement and exclusion from the outside world.
