Distance
1
Belfast Trolleybus 219 on Andersonstown Road - 1968
This is the last leg of the service 12 to Casement Park. The scene is basically still recognisable today, although the roundabout at Kennedy Way signed in the distance has given way to a light controlled crossroads. This was the last remaining trolleybus route in Belfast, running across city to Whitewell and would cease operation 4 weeks after my visit. The trolleybus is a BUT 9641T with locally built Harkness bodywork, built in 1953. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761

Belfast Trolleybus 229 at Casement Park - 1968
This was one of three terminal points for services along the Falls Road. This was the last remaining trolleybus route in Belfast, running across city to Whitewell and would cease operation 4 weeks after my visit. The entrance to the stadium has since been rebuilt and the bus facility has been removed. The trolleybus is a BUT 9641T with locally built Harkness bodywork, built in 1954. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
