2-9 Albemarle Row, Bristol
A super mid-Georgian terrace, resplendent in red brick and stone trim, its uniformity undermined somewhat by the uneven stepping up as it climbs the hill, and the variation in width (two near the top end are of three bays). The central house is a touch grander than the rest (Image]). The architect was almost certainly Thomas Paty, 1762-63. Grade II* listed.

It dates from 1763 and was built "as lodging houses for visitors to the hot wells". View from the junction with Cumberland Place / Joy Hill.
