Old water pump on Cornwallis Grove
The pump seems to be a fairly old device, but is encased in a wooden jacket. The area dates from the early 1800s and was previously known as Clifton Grove.

Cornwallis House, Cornwallis Grove, Bristol
An imposing late-Georgian house well-sited on the slopes of Clifton. The centre is c1794, the wings being added c1820. The grand porch of coupled Ionic columns may also have been added at that time. The parapet elegantly sweeps up in the centre. Grade II listed.
