Whiteladies Picture House
Also shown in Image The cinema was built in 1920-1 with a ballroom and restaurant, on the site of a nunnery, and the description at http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1245430&searchtype=mapsearch includes details of the "striking" tower, with "mushroom shaped piercing" in the belfry-like octagon, plus dome, cupola and finial.
