Cliftonwood Area - BS8
The street-name sign declares this to be called Bellevue Cottages although in fact it appears physically to be a part of the lower, White Hart Steps end, of Bellevue Crescent. This view of Cabot Tower in Brandon Hill Park is taken from the angle of a right-angled left hand branch of this cul-de-sac. The lime green building is the upper floor of a recently built private house that has been slotted into a previously vacant corner plot.

Brandon House, Jacob's Wells Road, Bristol
Flats by the City Architect, A.H. Clarke, 1959. It looks as if each flat is spread over two floors with a recessed quarter providing a balcony. I don't know but they are probably much roomier than equivalent late-C20th/early-C21st flats in which cat-swinging activities are severely circumscribed.
