Bristol: the Grace Gates at the County Ground
The plaque on the left-hand gate pier commemorates Gloucestershire's most celebrated player, Dr W G Grace. It has been there since 1948, the centenary of his birth. Pictures of other fine Gloucestershire players appear on the wall ahead.

Bristol: the players' balcony at the County Ground
Nottinghamshire players watching the start of the county's first and only innings on the second morning of a County Championship match. Number 4 batsman Samit Patel stands padded up at the head of the stairs. He went on to score a career-best 257 not out.
