Not for the heavy footed
The footbridge associated with the ford has large wooden beams for a walkway. Clearly, the use of it by vehicular traffic is to be avoided, but would it be possible to gather 1.5 tons of foot traffic on it?

The wooden bridge over the Babylon Brook has a weight limit of 1.5 tons. It isn't big enough for a car so it should be safe enough to cross on foot.
