A des res for the birdies?
This unusual sight seems to be a feeder but the level of detail and accuracy of the 'house' indicates some sort of skill.

Like a sergeant's stripes?
This young cow has a certain distinction among her peers - the only one in a field of several head. Could these rings around her tail indicate some form of higher authority, like a senior shop stewardess? Or maybe she has won the 'Milker of the Week' award for a month on the trot, or picked up a rosette at the county show? Maybe she has a sense of fashion? Or maybe it's just that her tail gets a bit messier than most...
Following a quick chat with another local herdsman later on, it may be that the tail rings denote that the poor cow may not have all four teats operative.
