2011 : Railway from the overbridge on Dragon Road
Looking east along the line built by the GWR to make a more direct route between Paddington and South Wales via the Severn Tunnel. Avoids the loop south via Bath and Bristol, joining the main line south of Wootton Bassett.

Spanning the River Frome
A bridge, aluminium on the top (and having a Millennium Bridge shake if provoked) sits on stone foundations. Presumably there was an older bridge that was replaced by the new one, although old maps don't show a crossing. There were, however, stepping stones at one time.

Frome Valley Walkway sign
The walkway is a 29km (18 mile) route that follows the River Frome from its source near Chipping Sodbury (not Frome in Somerset!) and on to Bristol. The river does indeed afford the glimpse of a kingfisher if you are very patient.
