Old road sign to Aust Ferry
This historic old road sign near Olveston School has been there since before the Old Severn Bridge was built, when Aust Ferry was the only way to cross the River Severn. In the bottom box, the second word has been painted over to try and hide it, so that the sign now appears to direct merely towards Aust, but it is still possible to see that it was originally pointing to Aust Ferry!
