The Rising Sun and an Upfest mural
The rising Sun is a public house, not far from Ashton Gate Stadium. The mural, a flaming serpent with its fangs out seemingly about the pounce, is on the side wall of a house on the junction of Wells Street and Ashton Road.

The Rising Sun, Ashton Road
Seen from Greville Smyth Park. Beyond the road on the horizon are two 11 storey tower blocks, Whitemead House and Winterstoke House, each completed in 1963 and overlooking Ashton Gate football stadium.
