No trace of the old vicarage
The modern end of Stackpool Road comprises domestic houses. But about the turn of the 1900s this area was the site of the old vicarage. As a reference, the road just to the north is Vicarage Road.

Still out and about
A stencil portrait on Mount Pleasant. It is by local artist Stewy and is of retired musician Robert Wyatt: he was a founding member of the influential Canterbury scene bands Soft Machine and Matching Mole, before suffering a devastating injury in a drunken fall in 1973.
