Iron horse for an iron road
There are a few such iron silhouettes dotted around Cadbury Heath. It is probable that they are a nod to the horses that worked in the coal pits and pulled the trucks on the Dramway - a rail line linking the pits to the wharves further south. Sadly it is the inevitable victim of the paint.

Birdies near the golf course
Cadbury Heath has a few of these objects atop a pole. On Park Crescent they are parrots perched on a ring of green foliage. Here the 'leaves' have dropped and the birds have bare branches. Beyond is the golf course, situated on what was a former colliery.

Pillar box on School Road
In the heart of a post-war housing development is a much newer pillar box, made by Romec. The Royal Mail facilities and engineering division was reorganised in 2000: Romec is 51% owned by them and is responsible for the upkeep of the letter box properties. Note the laser-cut and welded sign at the bottom.
