Avon Valley Railway, Bitton, Bristol
The Avon Valley Railway apart from some magnificent restorations is full of old derelict trains such as this. Almost a train graveyard. Regular steam train trips can be taken from here. This was once part of the Midland railway between Mangotsfield and Bath. This locomotive is LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 Number 48173

Bitton is the centre of operations for the heritage Avon Valley Railway. There is a wide variety of railwayana and period items here. In the foreground are a red phonebox and a railway trolley. The modern red motorbike is not part of the railway equipment!
