22-28 Portland Square, Bristol
The north side of this plain but stately Georgian square, laid out, with the surrounding streets, by the architect Daniel Hague from c1787 (though not completed until c1823). Each house, in Bath stone, is of three storeys plus basement and attic (the ends and centre a storey higher and a bay wider), rusticated ground floor, and good pedimented doorcase. Grade I listed.
I think now all in commercial use.

Chapter Street
Now a rather down-at-heel appearance for part of Bristol's elegant nineteenth century development.

2-8 Cave Street, Bristol
Familiar Bristolian Georgian, although brick is not often seen. This group is probably c1828 but employs the same motif of stepped voussoirs favoured by prolific local architects the Patys fifty plus years earlier. Grade II listed.
Now clearly derelict. The listing says they were converted to a warehouse at some point. Writing is faintly visible but I can only make out the last word, "Manufacturers".

Protected with steel
A corner of the Georgian splendour of Portland Square. In these more impecunious times the need to cover up has become necessary.
