Draycott Railway Station
Draycott station on the Strawberry Line between Witham and Yatton taken in the late 60s after the closure of the line but before dismantling. The picture is taken looking East towards the next station of Lodge Hill.

Draycott station: probable remains, 1995
View SE, towards Wells and Witham: ex-GWR Yatton - Wells - Witham line. The station was closed when the passeenger service ceased 9/9/63, but the line Yatton - Cheddar survived for freight until 1/4/69. The prominent house looks very much like the former station house.

At the foot of The Batch, and dated 1901. The stone is perhaps "Draycott Marble", a local pinkish conglomerate. Behind it is the A371.
