St Andrew's, Loxton
The church dates from uncertain ages, with some Norman features remaining and the probability that it lies on an older Saxon site. Most of the present fabric seems to be quite old, probably thirteenth to fifteenth century and, unusually, shows little sign of any later renovation until 1900. Grade II* listed, the church is in dire need of lots of repair now.

The cross in Loxton churchyard
With the Mendips as a background, this fifteenth century cross is in a very picturesque position. The top part is a slightly different colour - not surprising as it was restored in 1910!
