Strike a light!
Another art installation, one of several in and around the old dock: this piece is 'When Shall We Three Meet Again ...?' by Robert Stuart Clamp. It consists of three giant matches that have been lit and the stumps remains. It reflects on the use of phosphorus in the ignition of matches - a chemical imported into Portishead by Albright and Wilson, a major firm of the time.

An unmatched view
Robert Stuart Clamp's oversized matches as seen from directly below. At such a scale, the detail in the 'burnt wood' is superb.

Not too worried about a bite
Portishead marina is a closed body of water, which has a few fish in it. Whether one bites or not is not really too important on such a lovely day.
