Rock outcrop
Sedimentary strata alongside the River Frome at Broomhill. Rock from the area has been quarried for hundreds of years to provide building material for the nearby city of Bristol.

Mock drystone wall
The rocky hillside alongside the river path has slipped. This retaining wall has been built to look like a drystone wall but in reality rock anchors have been used to support blockwork which has been faced with local stone bedded into concrete to provide stability.
