The no entry sign is at the end of Whittucks Road, beyond that is the Blue Bowl inn.
The A431 to Longwell Green and Bath crosses the East Bristol bypass at the top of the next hill.

Metal bars on the path by Kingsfield Farm
Kingsfield Farm is an old one, dating from many years before the encroachment of Bristol and the new leisure park opposite. This straight lane runs to the west of the farmhouse and is guarded by some homely handiwork.
