Alexander House and Armada House, Telephone Avenue, Bristol
Alexander House looks 1970s. Beyond, Armada (1902, by Henry Williams) is a slightly more refined version of its near neighbour Image Grade II listed.

9 Marsh Street, Bristol
A bustle of red brick and copious stone dressings, all in the form of Gibbs surrounds. Fun but overdone. Dated c1900. Grade II listed. Occupied by the Prince's Trust.

16-24 Baldwin Street, Bristol
Pevsner called this "the last gasp of classicism", because it was built as late as 1926. In fairness, some of the features (such as blocks projecting above the parapet) nod towards Art Deco/Moderne style. Designed by Stanley Birkett, Refuge Assurance's house architect. It was largely occupied by Molloy's bar with offices above.

Junction on Marsh Street, Bristol
On the corner is Project House Image, "c1900. Brick with limestone dressings ... Edwardian Baroque style" https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1025062 . On the ground floor is an "Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Studio". The somewhat cryptic graffiti beneath the windowsill reads "EASTON MUMS ARE RENGUINS", altered, I think, from Penguins. This is at the corner of Telephone Avenue, the name of which was actually the main reason for me taking the photo, and which seems to be the only road so named in the country. The tower belongs to St Stephen's church http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=104233869 .

Looking from the tower roughly southwards; the horizon is marked by the eastern end of the Dundry ridge, with the spire of St Mary Redcliffe also visible.

Pavement work in Marsh Street
A new pavement is on the cards for Marsh Street at the junction with Baldwin Street. A benchmark retains a spot above the surface and its details can be found in the Benchmark Database -http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm33691.
