Barn, Cobbe Barns

Thatched Cottage
Until the mid 1970s this was the main A27. It was superseded by a new junction when the B2109 was upgraded to the A26 and the road straightened between Beddingham and Glynde.

Hole in the Wall Stile
Stile on footpath from Bebbingham Church to Little Dean. The wall builders took care to provide an easy route for walkers!

A27, Old and New
The old route runs to the left and now acts as an access road for few remaining dwellings that make up Beddingham as well as Comps Farm. The new road was constructed in the 1980s and runs on the right.

Welcoming Committee, Courthouse Farm
Inquisitive bullocks deciding to come and have a look at what I'm up to. They all piled into this field blocking the entrance but I was saved but an elderly gent who wondered through nonchalantly waving his walking stick at them at which they ran off then followed from a distance. On the footpath from Littledene Lane to Beddingham.

Old barn at Beddingham
The village name derives from 'Water meadow of Beada's people'. The main settlement of the tribe being at 'Beadingas' now known as Beeding.
