Bales, Barn Ham
The name given to the field by the 1839 tithe map though then it was subdivided into three, Upper, Middle and Lower, whereas today it is just one. The barns behind belong to Bridge Farm and the golden hue of the field derives from the sun's early light, about 40 minutes after sunrise.

Barcombe Mills Car Park
Public car park available from April-October for those wishing to walk the banks of the Ouse. It shuts in winter due to the frequent flooding in the area.

Road at Barcombe
A flood measurement board can be seen to the left of the road. It was used within a few months when the road here was under two feet of water as the River Ouse bursts its banks.
