Northease Manor School
The manor of Northease has existed since at least the 11th century though the current house dates only from the 18th. Unlike Southease, Northease has never been a parish only a hamlet within Rodmell which did have its own chapel for a while but it fell out of use. The manor house itself has been much altered over time having been divided up into a series of cottages before it became a single house again. Sometime in the 1980s it was converted into an independent boarding school which deals exclusively with bright pupils who suffer from dyslexia, dyspraxia and other language related difficulties.

Whiteways Cottages, Northease
These are numbers 6-8 that are located on White Way, a track linking Northease to the top of the South Downs. Built sometime during the 1930s they form along with about a dozen or so other dwellings the hamlet of Northease. See also Image and Image
