Waterstones, Lewes
This elegant building was originally a Quaker school for girls, founded in 1826; more recently it has been a solicitor's office. It opened as a branch of Waterstones in June 2014. Outside, slightly incongruously, is a stall selling bhajias and pakoras.

Cliffe High Street and Lewes Bridge, East Sussex
