Now the B2118 but until the early 1990s it was the A23, until the new route, effectively bypassing Albournbe and Sayers Common where the road was single lane only, was built. Since then the road has been narrowed.

The B2118 since the early 1990s when the A23 bypassed the village. The building on the right is the old school originally built in 1842 and now a private residence. Beyond is the housing estate known as Okehurst which extends up to the church whose bell tower can just be seen.
