House on the south side of Bramlands Lane
This is the south-facing rear of the house - taken from the public footpath. These houses have magnificent views south towards the Downs. Looking carefully at the 1 : 25 000 OS map I notice that the boundary of the South Downs National Park runs along Bramlands Lane, so most of the houses on the south side of the lane are within the Park - except for the one pictured above and a few adjacent ones. The boundary makes a little detour around the south side of them. I can't imagine why that should be - unless I am misreading the map!
