Lawyer's Lane
The lane links West End Lane to Hollands Lane continuing southwards as the private Buckwish Lane to Buckwish Farm. The picket fence on the left belongs to Oakfield House whilst beyond the hedge to the right is Image

The name of the field according to Henfield's 1844 tithe map which is little more than a thin strip running between Hollands Lane and West End Lane. To the east are the gardens belonging to Leyspring and Oakfield House whilst to the west is Image and Image

House on Lawyers Lane - with Flocktons in the distance
This is a telephoto shot. The house on the left is on Lawyers Lane - about 200 m away. This house is in the same grid square as the camera and can perhaps be considered as the subject. The house on the right - about 500 m away and in a neighbouring grid square - is Flocktons. Flocktons is a very distinctive looking house situated on high ground. It is therefore something of a landmark on the west side of Henfield.

Long Field/Sandy Lane Field
The name of the fields according to Henfield's 1844 tithe map that have been merged to form a larger unit. Long Field was on the western side adjacent to Image whilst Sandy Lane Field was in the south west with Image to the east. To the south is Hollands Lane and to the north is West End Lane.

Bridleway from Henfield to Bineham Bridge
The bridleway runs along a low ridge from Henfield to cross the River Adur at Bineham Bridge. It is 'hollow' throughout.
