Castle Hotel, The Street
The first inn recorded on this site was around 1549 and there has been one ever since. The Castle Hotel was first named around 1870 the previous inn being known as the White Lion. The main street in Bramber is actually a former causeway constructed by the de Braose family after the Conquest to span the Adur estuary.
