Beeding Cement Works
See Image for a full history. This view is taken on top of the old tunnel that went under the A283 carrying the railway sidings some of which remain in situ. Beyond is the chimney a focal point throughout this part of the valley and the rear of the older part of the quarry. Aerial views shows further workings heading as far back as the old coach road but only a couple of layers of chalk have been removed.
