Level crossing in Shoreham-on-Sea, West Sussex
This is Eastern Avenue, looking northwards from the A259 Brighton Road. The railway is between Brighton (to the right) and Worthing. The low hills of the South Downs are in the distance.

Eastern Avenue Allotments with a Dusting of Snow
The cold snap just after Christmas 2005 affected the east coast including Kent. This is the most that happened to Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex protected by its own micro-climate south of the South Downs.

No through route
Whatever used to be the case, Nicholson Road stops here now for road vehicles. Straight on its continuation is Middle Road beyond the next crossroads. The vehicles beyond the bollards have come in the other direction and are accessing the allotments on each side of the way.

Dunelm Mill, Eastern Avenue
Soft furnishings warehouse that opened in 2007 in the building once occupied by Courts. Eastern Avenue southern junction was once with Brighton Road, the A259, but was looped around towards Ham Road during the 1980s due to traffic problems.
