Wall Lizard, Shoreham Beach
Wall Lizards seem to have been present in this area for a number of years, seen on warm days sunning themselves on walls. They can be seen at nearby Shoreham Fort and along Beach Road.

Viewed from the exposed sands at low tide and emphasising the bank of shingle that protects the houses further back from the beach. The settlement of Shoreham Beach has been built on an old shingle spit.

Reds on Shoreham Beach
Red Valerian and Tree Mallow on the shingle beach. This area is best in June and July for a wonderful colourful display of seaside plants including Sea Kale the white flowers in the background.
