Nice... The van is in Windlesham Road, originally called Camp Close, as it was used as a military camp during the First World War.

The building was a teacher training unit at the time of the photo, but was an infants school before that and the cars are parked in the playground where I once played 'Cowboys and Indians' and had my first kiss!

Good Beer Guide-listed public house on Wolseley Road. Traditional corner house layout, with central counter and drinking areas left and right; TV, patio, games machine, open fire. Six cask ales were on offer.

Portslade Sixth Form College
The school was a boys Secondary Modern until the early seventies when it was merged with the local girls school, forming the lower school. This changed in the nineties when it became Portslade Sixth Form College when the site at Mile Oak Road was sold for housing.
