Hove Park Villas
This part of Hove was laid out in the early part of the twentieth century and are still desirable city townhouses now. This view looks north north east from the western edge of the grid square towards the junction with the A27 Old Shoreham Road. The trees in the background form the border of Hove Recreation Ground.

Contrasting Housing Styles, Wilbury Gardens
Wilbury Gardens was laid out between 1894-1901 and the architecture retains a late Victorian massiveness. Somewhere in time a gap has appeared and has been filled in the last 30 years by a modern box home which seems dwarfed by the imposing size of its neighbours.

Park Nursing Home, Old Shoreham Road
Other than being subdivided into flats the big Victorian and Edwardian villas seem to also be occupied by nursing homes. This one is opposite Hove Recreation Ground hence its name.
