Park Lodge, Old Shoreham Road, Hove
Recently completed block of flats built on the site of Park House, an old Edwardian house, that was later expanded and occupied by Bellerbys College. The latter moved to a new site by Brighton Station in 2007 and the property subsequently became vacant for a number of years whilst planning permission was sought. Building commenced around 2014 and completed the following year. Located on the junction of Goldstone Crescent.

The "Goldstone Dolmen"
Placed in the corner of a park opposite the old football ground (its exact location in 1973 escapes me) the Goldstone Dolmen had certainly been moved to the place in this photograph from its original location.

Looking towards Old Shoreham Road, Hove
Fans of Brighton and Hove Albion will look on in sorrow towards Toys R us and Comet, for there was the Goldstone Road, home to the Seagulls for many years until the early nineties. Thankfully a new stadium at Falmer has been built and will be ready for use next season. See Image]

Hove Park
Once known as Goldstone Bottom a small dry valley amongst the Downs. There was a military encampment during the 1790s but reverted to farmland until it was purchased by Hove Corporation specifically to lay out as a park which was opened in 1905. The wheels on the right normally belong to Image which has probably been taken away for repair.
