Up on the Roof
Two people have decided to get on the roof of Lorna House and use the virgin snow to built themselves something with. What I couldn't tell but it they used the snow in blocks. Here one of them has decided to kick snow off the roof and film it. Lorna House is an office block which did house in part a former language college but that has moved to a new site near Brighton station. Not sure what is there now.

Wilbury Villas Railway Bridge
The bridge was closed to all except pedestrian traffic last October due to a major structural fault and is expected to be closed for a long period of time. The net result is to remove the road as a rat run and create two cul-de-sacs either side of the bridge.

97-101, Lorna Road, Hove
The house in the middle, number 99 is a former grocers and Post Office and was used as a location for the 1905 film 'Our New Errand Boy', see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mjRDCHsWMk , directed by James Williamson whose Kinenamtograph film studio was based in nearby Cambridge Grove. Nearby Wilbury Villas and its railway bridge were also used as locations in the film.

Wilbury Villas Railway Bridge
The bridge has been closed to traffic since September 2012 due to structural faults. Work was carried out during November and December which has resulted in most of fencing now being removed though the workmen did leave behind a Christmas tree as decoration for the holiday period suggesting a re-opening is imminent. However, the storm of the 23rd December has claimed a victim and snapped the tree leaving just the base. Which kind of ruined my planned midday festive picture!

Lorna Road
Viewed from the outside of my flat. The snow arrived about 9.45am this morning and continued until about 1pm. This was taken around 10.30 as the initial sleet turned to snow and began to lay.
