St Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Portland Road, Aldrington, Hove
The Catholic Church purchased this plot of land in 1902 and originally had a small hall on the site. Permission was granted for the church to be built in 1912 which after a change of plans the following year was finally completed in 1915 though not consecrated until 1927. One of eleven Catholic churches within the Brighton & Hove conurbation.

A residential street that links Portland Road to Montgomery Street that was developed in the first decade of the 20th century. Located in the Poets Corner district of the city so called because of the street names rather than any bohemian tendencies. This one is named after Percy Bysshe Shelley.
