St Leonard's Church, New Church Road, Aldrington, Hove
The current church dates from 1878 with the extension on the eastern side added in the late 1920s. The original parish church was constructed in the 13th century but was in ruins by the 17th after the population within the parish declined. When development began in the late 19th century it was decided to rebuild the church using remaining masonry and as close to the original design as possible. The graveyard does appear to be slightly overgrown with the majority of the gravestones dating from around the Late Victorian-Edwardian era though I did spot one from 2013.
